Most North Bay homeowners start with a problem, not a service name. Here is how the five services compare, and what each one typically costs.
| What you want | The service | Typical range |
|---|---|---|
| A green, living yard: sod, garden beds, planting | Landscaping | $2K–$15K |
| Built surfaces: patios, walkways, retaining walls | Hardscaping | $7K–$20K |
| Water moving away from the house, or site prep | Excavation & Drainage | $1.5K–$25K |
| Kitchens, bathrooms, and interior finishes | Home Renovations | $3K–$50K |
| Decks, garages, additions, one contractor managing it all | Construction | $15K–$50K |
Our work speaks for itself.
Real projects across North Bay and the surrounding communities. Every photo on the finished site is a job Edwards built, never stock.

What Edwards builds with
A patio is only as good as the base under it and the product laid on top. Edwards specifies Canadian-made concrete hardscape from two manufacturers, both engineered for freeze-thaw climates.
Techo-Bloc
Pavers, slabs, garden and retaining walls, steps, caps and fire pits. Techo-Bloc products are made for the hardscape trade and are widely specified for driveways, patios and pool decks across Ontario and Quebec.
Oaks Landscape Products
Pavers, slabs, steps and curbs, retaining and garden walls, copings and caps. Oaks is the landscape line from Brampton Brick, an Ontario manufacturer that has been producing masonry and landscape products for over 150 years.
Product choice is made per project rather than by default. Colour, format, thickness and finish get selected against the house, the exposure and the use, and both manufacturers are shown at the quoting stage so you can see and handle the options before anything is ordered. Techo-Bloc and Oaks Landscape Products are trademarks of their respective owners. Edwards Landscape & Construction installs their products and makes no claim of affiliation or endorsement.
What a project actually costs.
Most contractors dodge the question. Here are Edwards Landscape & Construction's real ranges, so you can plan before you ever pick up the phone.
Every range narrows once we see the site. Each project gets a written quote after an on-site visit, and Kayden follows up personally until you have the answer you need.
The contractor who shows up and does exactly what he promised.
The hardest part of hiring a contractor is finding one who follows through. Kayden built Edwards Landscape & Construction on the opposite reputation: professional, polite, on time, and accountable for the finished result.
A lifetime in landscaping and hardscaping, run personally, with no shortcuts on the base layer and no surprise pricing.

Common questions, answered.
How much does a hardscaping job cost?
Most hardscaping projects run $7,000 to $20,000, depending on the size of the area, paver selection, site preparation, excavation, and whether existing asphalt or concrete needs removing. Every project gets a written quote after an on-site visit.
What is the difference between landscaping and hardscaping?
Landscaping is the living side of a yard: sod, gardens, and planting. Hardscaping is the built side: interlock, concrete, retaining walls, and structural outdoor construction. Edwards Landscape & Construction handles both together.
How long does a project take?
Most projects take between one and two weeks from the start of work, depending on size and complexity. Your written quote includes a realistic timeline before anything begins.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A deposit of 50 to 60 percent covers materials, excavation, fuel, equipment rentals, and labour. The balance is due on completion, once the site is clean and the work meets your expectations.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Edwards Landscape & Construction is fully licensed and fully insured, and backs every install with a three-year workmanship warranty.
Every project starts with a single conversation.
